Pragati Das, currently Assistant Professor of English in the School of Education at Bangladesh Open University, obtained M.Phil in English literature from Jahangirnagar University. She also obtained Bachelor of Education(B.Ed) from National University and Master of Education (M.Ed) from Bangladesh Open University. She has more than 13 years of teaching/research experiences. She has a number of publications including research papers, book chapters and books. Her core interests are Critical and Cultural Theory, Classics in Translation, Shakespeare, Modern Literature, African Literature, American Literature, History of Eastern and Western Philosophy, Eighteenth Century English Literature, Victorian Literature,   Phonetics and English Phonology, Research Methodology, Language Teacher Education, Teaching ESL/EFL Listening and Speaking; Reading and Writing, Professional Communications and Public Speaking, Approaches and Methods in ESL/EFL Teaching, Practical Teaching Techniques, Observation and Practice.
