About Examination Division

Bangladesh Open University (BOU) was established in 1992 with a view to imparting education to all, especially the deprived group or the less fortunate group. Open learning is different from traditional classroom teaching but the examination system is as like as the traditional one. The Examination Division makes the arrangement of holding exams of BOU across the country. Nearly 1000 exam centers are operated by the Examination Division. The Examination Division makes arrangement of holding 42 examinations of 22 academic programs of BOU in an academic year. Public examinations like SSC, HSC, BA/BSS, BBA, BBS etc. are conducted through the direct supervision of district administration. All the exams of BOU are held on Friday. The postal department has made the arrangement to keep open the post office for the posting of answer scripts of public exams on Friday.
