Welcome to the School of Business! As the dean of the school, I am proud of the extraordinary tradition of offering cutting-edge, experiential-based, self-paced, and need-based business education that the school has upheld since its start in 1995. Our programs prepare our students to become leaders with the enriched moral values and creativity essential to solving problems in the critical transformation of society. We take tremendous pride in our rich curriculum and a proven track record that seamlessly merges experiential learning with solid degree programs. Located in an industrial hub of the country, the school got the unique opportunity to connect our students with companies and business communities easily, which gives the students real-life capstone experiences and helps them put their education into action. We currently offer a range of formal academic programs including Certificate-in-Management (CIM), Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Professional MBA, Commonwealth Executive MBA (CEMBA), Commonwealth Executive MPA (CEMPA), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). In addition, the school offers a number of non-formal programs for promoting lifelong learning. The areas of specialization in our programs include human resource management, marketing, accounting and information systems, finance, and international and development economics.

As we believe in empowerment rather than knowledge and skills, we have various additional initiatives that add huge value to the performance of the students and teachers. The initiatives include Open Business Research Camping, Open Business Seminar, Open Business Distinguished Lecture Series, and Open Business Talk.

We are partnered with 11 universities of the commonwealth countries in offering Commonwealth MBA/MPA programs. The partner universities are Wawasan Open University, Malaysia, Open University of Mauritius, Mauritius, Allama Iqbal Open University, Pakistan, Botswana Open University, Botswana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, National Open University of Nigeria, Nigeria, Open University of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka, University College of the Caribbean, Jamaica, University College of the Cayman Islands, Cayman Islands, University of Guyana, Guyana, University of Seychelles, Seychelles. We are expecting more collaboration in the near future.

As a leading business school, we offer outcome-based education that involves our dedicated faculty members and staff, our motivated alumni, and the business communities. Situated at the heart of the beautiful campus of BOU in Board Bazar, Gazipur, the business school carries a high level of dignity, integrity, and academic rigor since its inception.
