He was promoted to Assistant Professor in May 2017. He completed both his BA (Honours) in 2006 and MA in 2009 in Islamic Studies with First Class from the University of Dhaka.

With more than a decade of university-level teaching experience, he teaches courses at both BA (Honours) and MA levels, including Introduction to Islam, Human Rights in Islam, Muslim Contribution to Science and Technology, Study of Religions, and Islamic Dawah. He is actively engaged in open and distance learning (ODL), contributing to self-learning material development, audio-visual lectures, blended learning delivery, academic coordination, and thesis supervision. His pedagogical approach integrates classical Islamic scholarship with contemporary academic discourse.

His research focuses on applied Islamic ethics and contemporary socio-legal issues, particularly child rights, women empowerment, migration governance, religious generosity, sustainable development, and cyber security. He successfully completed a BOU-funded research project titled “Determining the Gender of the Baby Through In Vitro Fertilization: Islamic Perspective” (2023–2024). His recent peer-reviewed publication, “Sex Selection through In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) in Bangladesh: An Ethical and Legal Review,” was published in Islami Ain O Bichar. He is currently leading another funded research project (2024–2025) examining power dynamics between migrants and brokers in Bangladesh’s labor market.

In addition to journal publications, he has contributed as co-translator to published books and has participated in numerous national and international training programs on research methodology, academic writing, media production for ODL, leadership, and AI-assisted research tools. He is a member of several academic committees at BOU, including BA and MA Examination Committees and the Islamic Studies Curriculum Committee.

Committed to academic excellence, ethical research, and socially relevant scholarship, he continues to pursue advanced research opportunities and is seeking PhD scholarship opportunities to further specialize in Islamic legal-ethical studies within contemporary global contexts.
