Welcome to Faridpur Regional Center (RC) of Bangladesh Open University (BOU). The Faridpur Regional Center of Bangladesh Open University is located at the southern entrance of Faridpur city, at Harukandi, beside Faridpur–Barishal highway and west of the Kumar River. It is a two-storied building surrounded by greenery, was constructed in 1998 and started functioning on 1 July 1999.

The Faridpur Regional Center of Bangladesh Open University is working tirelessly to provide educational service to the greater Faridpur, an ancient town on the banks of the Padma and surrounded by golden fiber.

Under this Regional center there are four Sub-regional center in Rajbari, Gopalganj, Shariatpur and Madaripur districts. Currently, there are total of 10 academic programs are offered, including SSC, HSC, BA/BSS, B.Ed (Bachelor of Education), B.Ag.Ed (Bachelor of Agricultural Education), B.M.Ed (Bachelor of Madrasha Education), BBA (Bangla), MBA (Bangla), MA/MSS and M.Ed (Master of Education). To support these programs, there are 83 tutorial centers and 1345 tutors to provide educational services to about 14000 students.

The Regional Centre and Sub-Regional Centre are working throughout to reach at the doorstep of the citizens with a view to transform the vast human resources of Bangladesh into an educated and skilled workforce providing a wide range of academic programs both formal and non-formal.
