Sodip Roy

Currently Sodip Roy is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Bangladesh Open University, Bangladesh as well as a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of International Relations and Political Science at Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary. He studied at University of Dhaka, Durham University (UK), and University of Nottingham (Malaysia). He is a former Visiting Graduate Research Fellow in the Centre for Refugee Studies (CRS), York University, Canada. Sodip is also a honorary Graduate Research Fellow of the CRS. His research interest focuses on Refugee and Forced Migration with reference to Rohingya Refugee Crisis in South and Southeast Asia. Likewise, Sodip’s Doctoral project investigates the link between agencies of Rohingya refugees and refugee camp governmentality in Bangladesh. He is a member of different professional bodies on Forced Migration, and Humanitarian Studies. Sodip envisages to flourish study and research of ‘Forced Migration’ in Bangladesh.
