Evnat Bhuiyan is currently serving as Lecturer, School of Law at Bangladesh Open University. She has completed her LL.B. and LL.M. from Department of Law, Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She started her academic career as Lecturer at the Department of Law, European University of Bangladesh. Later, she served the Department of Law and Justice, Jahangirnagar University as an Adjunct faculty. She was the Research Associate and the Ziauddin Tareq Ali Research Fellowship Awardee for Cambodia from Center for the Studies of Genocide and Justice of the Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh. She has published journal articles at national and international reputable journals.

She represented Bangladesh being the 1st Representative Team ever selected from Bangladesh in the global platform of the prestigious 34th International Jean Pictet Competition, 2020, Bali, Indonesia (a simulation, training and mooting residential program) where 48 international teams around the world participated. She secured full scholarship from ICRC Swiss Federation and Concours De Jean Pictet for outstanding writing in the screening phase of the participating teams selected for the very competition.

Apart from international participation and academic contribution, she has noticeable achievement in mooting. She is a reluctantly diligent friend of Jessup Bangladesh and ILSA Bangladesh chapter. She has served as presiding Judge for four times at the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Bangladesh Preliminary Rounds of the largest moot court competition in the world, Phillip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, popularly known as world championship of moot court. She was the Researcher of the 1st Jessup team of Jagannath University representing the institution in the 1st Phillip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, National round in 2017 held at Northern University of Bangladesh and was one of the semi finalist teams.

Additionally, she has attained Best South Asian Team accolade in the SAARC Round of 4th Prof. NR Madhava Menon Law Moot Court Competition, Conference and Colloquium 2018 held in Greater Noida, Delhi, India. Her team was nominated and invited to participate at the 16th Commonwealth Moot Court Competition and Law Conference, in conjunction with the 20th Commonwealth Law Conference in Livingstone, Zambia for SAARC round success.

She also acted as one of the bench judges for the Quarter Final Round of the 16th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL), National Rounds for Bangladesh organised by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in association with Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2025.  

She further was invited to be one of the Presiding Judges for the Preliminary Rounds of the 1st Qualifying Round (Bangladesh) of Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition 2025 organised by Hearth Bangladesh in association with ILSA Bangladesh Chapter, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2025. She is the first faculty to send first ever observer team from the School of Law of BOU to Stetson 2025 season being the referee and mentor of the team. The team consists of three participant who actively participated as observer under her guidance and supervision.

During her early law school career, she was involved in organizational assignation. She worked as Editor in national and international student-led Law Journals. She worked as collaborator in Active Citizen program of British Council from Wave Foundation. She was consistently dedicated in Department amelioration, student activism, leadership, student assistance and patronage.
