It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the School of Law, Bangladesh Open University, a new chapter in our university’s commitment to knowledge, equity, and public service.

The School of Law stands on the firm belief that legal education is not merely about mastering statutes, cases, and doctrines. As a pioneering institution in open and distance learning, Bangladesh Open University has long played a distinctive role in widening access to higher education across the country. The School of Law carries forward that mission by making quality legal education accessible to learners from diverse backgrounds, including working professionals, women, first-generation university students, rural learners, and those who cannot easily attend conventional campus-based programs.
